First of all, thanks for wanting to find out a little bit more about us. The American School of Pachuca is an institution of great tradition in its hometown. Founded more than 100 years ago, it became the elite educational institution for students wanting to learn and grow in a bicultural setting in this part of Mexico.
We take great pride in our bicultural program and because of this, we hire foreign staff to teach most of the subjects given in English. In fact, a large percentage of our staff come from the US, Canada and other English-speaking countries, bringing with them the best educational practices for our students. We offer education in three different levels: Preschool, Elementary and Junior High.
To ensure that we offer a quality education we are continually engaged in a process of international accreditation, and involved in several international school associations. As active members of these associations, we participate and collaborate with other schools in staff training, sporting and academic tournaments and competitions throughout the school year.
Our curriculum is a bicultural mixture of Common Core Standards from the US education system, and the official national program of study for Mexico. Our educational model is student-centered: we want the students to build their own knowledge, be creative and be able to apply in real life what they have learned in the classroom. Technology plays an incredibly important part in modern education and our school is committed to integrating these tools in the classroom in a responsible and efficient way. Our staff are subject to year-round training to ensure that our standards continually improve in the classroom.
Finally, we are very honored to serve our students and work with their families. Our professional staff, administrative personnel and all support staff focus all their efforts on making sure our most important people on campus, our students, have the best learning experience possible.
